Scott is a graduate of the UNLV Culinary Arts program. Scott’s first job in the casino hospitality field was in the kitchen at Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand, where he worked every position in the kitchen over nine years. Thereafter, his hard work and immense talent landed the big gig, Chef de Cuisine of Lagasse’s Stadium at the Palazzo.
Scott’s laid back style and elevated comfort food was a huge hit with judges of the Food Network’s Chopped television show. On Chopped, chefs are given the same 4 random ingredients and asked to prepare dishes to be judged by culinary experts. Scott was the winner of season 13 - Episode 5.
Scott’s passion for food and big heart is best displayed in his contribution to youth in our community. Not only does Scott volunteer his time to cook private dinners actioned off for top charity dollars as fundraisers prize for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, he also is committed to helping kids learn to appreciate healthy and nutritious foods at an early age.
Scott, a Dad himself, has adopted Create A Change Now as his way of improving the diets and lifelong food skills of local kids. Schools that participate in the program have community gardens for the kids to learn about where food comes from. Scott then helps teachers to integrate the curriculum to teach kids simple recipes to help them learn about healthy choices that are the building blocks for learning to cook and eat well.
