Las vegas casino minimum bets

{H1}

This section covers all live table games that are not based on blackjack available in Las Vegas area casinos. We found the following minimums during weekday visits in fall

There are 68 Las Vegas table games that deal live table games beyond blackjack. That number was 69 when we originally published the related newsletter. Club Fortune removed its table games in November Bally&#;s became Horseshoe in December

Limits may be higher during peak hours and weekends. If a game is $5 in this survey, it could be $10 or $15 during peak hours. A $10 game may be $15 or $ A game with a $15 minimum bet may go up to $ Some $25 games may double to $50, though the $25 minimum tends to be a stable limit.

We found 68 casinos dealing 25 different live non-blackjack table games in the Las Vegas area. This survey is a summary of our findings. The links in the game below will take you to that section of this guide.

Las Vegas non-blackjack live table games

3 Card Blitz &#; %

Sahara is still the only casino that deals 3 Card Blitz. We found limits of $10 to $ This game is like High Card Flush except that instead of a hand ranking for flushed cards, it is a point system. Blackjack values are used. Aces are worth 11 points. A player raises an amount equal to the ante or folds.

Baccarat &#; Banker %, Player %

Baccarat has the most non-blackjack installations with around in the Las Vegas valley. There are over tables located on the Strip. Nine are downtown. The remaining 80 tables are in locals and off-Strip casinos.

Players may bet on the banker, player or tie, as well as a variety of side bets. A winning bet on the banker has a 5% commission. However, some games have a push banker hand, like a three-card 7, to remove commissions from the game.

Big Wheel &#; Varies by wheel, often over 10%

Two casinos offer a live big wheel. The hours are often limited. It can be found on the Strip at Wynn and Downtown at Golden Nugget. Golden Nugget has a $2 minimum. It is $5 at Wynn.

Casino War &#; %

The number of Casino War tables has been declining since we started keeping track. We only found it in four casinos, all on the Strip. It has a $15 minimum bet at Aria, Cosmopolitan and Planet Hollywood. Wynn deals it for a $25 minimum.

Crapless Craps

Gaining in number are crapless craps tables. There are thirty tables on or near the Las Vegas Strip. The Strat used to be the only casino with the game. That changed in Now 21 Strip casinos have crapless craps available. The Westgate is the only casino not on the Strip where we found the game.

A crapless craps game differs from the original one in multiple ways. The player cannot lose on the come out. That is because every number except the 7 is a potential point. A 2, 3, 11 or 12 rolled on the come out must be made before a 7 to win the pass line bet. There are no don’t bets on a crapless craps table.

roulette &#; %

Unfortunately, roulette wheels with three zeros are gaining in number. The game was first introduced at Venetian and Palazzo in Now, over 80 wheels have three zeros. Many times the third zero is disguised as the casino logo on the table felt. All Las Vegas Strip casinos now deal triple zero roulette.

Casinos vary in procedure for opening the roulette tables. Some casinos open roulette at a lower limit than 00 roulette. Some will have both tables open with the same minimums. Other casino floors open the roulette table only when all the 00 roulette tables are already open and full. In some instances, tables will be open while 00 is closed. All casinos with roulette, except O’Sheas, have at least one 00 table.

Three Card Poker &#; 2%

We found over Three Card Poker tables in the Las Vegas area. Players may bet the ante or pair plus side bet to get a Three Card Poker hand. If the ante is wagered, a raise is required to stay in the hand. A Six Card Bonus side bet is also available at most tables.

* The Three Card table at The Strat plays the same as Three Card Poker. It has similar side bets with different names.

Wild Five &#; %

Two casinos offer Wild Five. This year, Sam’s Town and Suncoast removed their tables. Cannery offers a $3 to $ game. We found it for $10 to $50 at Aliante. This game uses a card deck that includes a joker. Deuces and the joker are wild. The player starts with an ante and is dealt five cards. A raise of one to three times the ante is permitted or the player folds.

Lost Las Vegas table games

Not see a table game listed above? It is possible it is one of many games that were once dealt in Las Vegas, but have left the market. Some games have been gone for a while like Cajun Stud, Chase the Flush, Double Ball Roulette, Flushes Gone Wild, Poker or Bust and River Hold’em. Some games never made it fully out of testing, like Casino Dominos

Others have disappeared more recently. Keep it Straight made a brief appearance at Flamingo in The object was similar to High Card Flush, but with straights. The player’s goal was to have a higher and longer straight than the dealer.

Asia Poker is no longer dealt in any Las Vegas casinos. The table at Gold Coast was gone before started. Paris stopped dealing Asia Poker this past year. Ricochet Poker recently ended a short run at Binion’s.

Palazzo and Venetian were the last casinos to deal Caribbean Stud. Venetian also had Prosperity 3 Pictures, Royal 3 Pictures and  Raging Bullseye. All these games are MIA. Brief appearances were made by Criss Cross Poker at the Linq, Planet Hollywood and The Strat, Deuces Wild Hold’em at The D, Four Card Frenzy at Santa Fe Station and La Paire at El Cortez. Heart Attack was dealt at the Palms prior to the pandemic.

House edge/element of risk

Each game is listed with a house edge next to it. In games with one bet and no raises, like baccarat and roulette, it is the true house edge. For games that involve multiple bets, like Let it Ride, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em, we used the element of risk. This includes the effect on the house edge when the player puts more money into the hand than the minimum. For example, a raise in Three Card Poker or Ultimate Texas Hold’em.

We know the house edge and element of risk for most games. We needed help with a few. We used thisisnl.nl as the source of this information.
