If you’re looking for a quieter stay (there is no casino) that’s still within walking distance of the Las Vegas Strip, then the Desert Rose Resort may be the perfect option for you. It’s located two blocks away from the Strip, making it a great choice if you don’t have your car with you.

If you’re traveling with kids, then you’re looking for something different than what a lot of the hotels on and off the Strip offer. While you may want to enjoy happy hour every night and spend your time fooling around in the casinos, kids can’t do that and are going to need alternative activities.

In that case, Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa might be an excellent option for you.

Out of the options on this list, it is one of the farthest from the actual Strip. It is a 15 to minute drive, so if you don’t have a car, this may not be your best choice.

The El Cortez Hotel and Casino is a great option to save money and enjoy a historic property. It is the longest continuously running casino in Las Vegas, first having opened its doors in However, that will mean that it’s not for everyone.

It’s a historic property (recently renovated), which not everyone finds appealing, and it doesn’t have a pool, something that a lot of people want.

On the other hand, El Cortez Hotel and Casino is located in Downtown Vegas, putting it right within walking distance of plenty of awesome bars and restaurants and, of course, the Fremont Street Experience. On top of that, the El Cortez is extremely budget-friendly.
